Ethics and corporate responsibility go hand-in-hand as far as we are concerned and we do everything we can to ensure that our impact on society is positive and effective and benefits the wider community as well as our business.
Dizengoff wins awards for its excellence
Dizengoff is keen to promote excellence in all of our major divisions. We value local expertise very highly and also take steps to minimise the impact of our business on the local environment here in Nigeria through corporate environmental responsibility. Our company decisions put the interests of our workers and our local communities first. We embody the triple bottom line of people, planet, profit, in that order.
This highly responsible approach has led to Dizengoff’s activities being nominated for many awards. In 2007, the company won the Merit Award as Best Exhibitor at the 15th International Catfish Fair, awarded by the Catfish Farmers Association of Nigeria. This recognised our commitment and contribution to advancing aqua culture in Nigeria. The Dizengoff brand won a media award for its ad “Taking Fish” at the Lagos Advertising and Ideas Festival in 2008. In December of that same year, the Balton air conditioning system distributed by Dizengoff was named Air Conditioning System of the Year and given the prestigious National Quality Management Award by the Quality Management Development Institute.
